Seasonal 5 course tasting menu (with recipes provided) demonstrated by
Ballymaloe trained chef, Joe Savage, who will be delighted to pass on his
tips and tricks during the course of this unique event using food produced
on our chemical free farm.
So that everyone has a chance to ask questions and truly interact with chef
Joe, maximum capacity is 10 people. Date and timing of this event can be
customized for groups of 10 but, if your group is less than 10 please let us
know and we may be able to accommodate you with another group.
Optional farm tour and an opportunity to see our newly planted 10 acre oak
forest which is attracting animals and insects, many of which have not
been seen in this area for years. An oak tree takes 100 years to grow, 100
years to mature and another 100 years to die….this is the difference
between our farm being “involved” with biodiversity and being
“committed” to it.
You’ll also meet our pigs, hens, turkeys, Hereford grass fed cattle (Bord Bia
approved) and have a chance to look at our vegetable garden and
polytunnel.
Price: €100 per person, paid in advance. Should we not reach the 10
threshold on a given day you have the option of return of payment or to
transfer it to a confirmed date. You’re welcome to bring your own
beverage….glasses, coolers, ice and teas and coffees are all provided.
The cooking usually starts around 6.30pm and lasts about 3.5 – 4 hours.
For those taking the farm tour, arrive approx. 30 minutes beforehand.
Please advise any food allergies at time of booking.
We recommend you pre-book transport home if required.
